Hey Team,
It's that exciting time of the year again! If you've been trading with me for a while, you know I have a knack for transforming small accounts into something quite substantial. We've seen it all – $5k to $15k, $15k to $25k, and even $25k to well over $100k. This time, I'm pumped to say it's no different.
With our latest partnership with Lightspeed, I wanted to kick things off with a bang. So here we go: the Small Account Challenge! We're starting with a $15k deposit, diving into stocks and options, and setting our sights on hitting that $30k mark. There's no rush here; the aim is to showcase the same methodology that's been the cornerstone of my – and my students' – success.
This challenge is close to my heart because it mirrors the journey many new traders face: limited funds and the pressure of not meeting certain margin requirements. Our challenge account is a cash account, as we're below the $25k threshold needed for a margin account, which means we can't short stocks or sell options. But we've got plenty to play with – buying stocks, calls, and puts, and even selling covered calls.
We're the underdogs here. We're that account that starts small but dreams big. This challenge is about discipline, desire, and beating the odds.
Our initial goal? To grow from $15k to $30k. Once we hit that, we'll have the flexibility of a margin account. And from there? The sky's the limit.
